This year's match pits the defending champions against the most decorated side in UWCL history, with Barca looking to hold on to the trophy they won for the first time last season. On the other side of the pitch is Lyon, the seven-time winners of the competition who ruled European football for most of the decade prior to the Catalans' maiden title.
Both sides arrived at the final by way of 5-3 aggregate victories in the semi-finals, but Barcelona was the more dominant team in the quarters as they dispatched Real Madrid by an 8-3 scoreline. Of course, that won't mean much on Saturday, but it could give Barca a bit of momentum as they look to supplant Lyon as the giants of the UWCL.
