Bayern Munich have their work cut out for them.
The Bundesliga giants are in a 3-0 hole after losing the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final with Manchester City by that scoreline, and now they return home looking for a miracle.
City are in red-hot form and will prove a formidable opponent just to earn a result against, let alone the lopsided victory required to see Bayern through to the semis. However, Pep Guardiola warned against overconfidence from his side, calling the match a "final" and asking for a good effort from the Sky Blues.
“We have a final in four days against Bayern Munich and I know the character and personality they have with their players and the mentality," the City boss said.
“We have to work a lot and be stable mentally in our bad moments.
“We have to go there so aggressive to win the game, to score goals and win the game.
“This is the mindset I have - and I would like to put that in the mind of my players."
Guardiola stressed that things could easily go bad for his team if City don't show up to the Allianz Arena with the right mentality.
“We have to see if we can play as we have done at home and show great courage to impose our game," he said.
“If we are going there to be a little bit passive in our game, they are able to do like we are able to do here [in the first leg at the Etihad]. We are able to do many, many good things and they are able to do it [too]."
