Bayern Munich has fond memories of facing Paris Saint-Germain in the knockout round of the Champions League.
The only meeting between the teams in the knockouts came in last summer's final, with Bayern winning 1-0 and raising the trophy. Die Roten's dominant run through the 2019-20 tournament culminated in that victory over the Parisians, and now they'll look to take out the Ligue 1 giants at an earlier stage (and over two legs).
It'll be tougher given the absence of star striker Robert Lewandowski, who was injured during the international break while representing Poland. Lewandowski has been the personfication of Bayern's dominance over the past two seasons, with the 32-year-old proving to be the most dangerous forward in the world during that stretch.
Even without Lewandowski, Bayern has enough depth and championship pedigree to still give PSG nightmares over the two legs.
On the flip side, PSG will be eager to not only earn some revenge on Bayern, but also to eliminate one of the favourites at a relatively early stage.
