Brighton & Hove Albion face a monumental task as they look to overcome a four-goal deficit in the second leg of their Europa League round of 16 tie against AS Roma.
The Giallorossi were rampant in last week's opening leg, taking an early lead and never looking back despite generating only three more shots on target than the Seagulls.
It was the kind of result that could be disastrous for the remainder of a team's campaign, but Brighton were able to post a clean sheet in their 1-0 Premier League victory against Nottinghanm Forest over the weekend.
They hope to use that result as a springboard for a better performance at home against Roma.
“Yes, obviously we knew we had to bounce back from what happened in Rome,” Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen said.
“I think we used this game to turn the tide and get a big confidence boost for Thursday and I think that is what we got. The mood is good, the spirits are high and the belief is big for Thursday, so we’ll give it our best.
“We were low, we were down, but after the game that’s normal. We’d just lost 4-0 and we know what was on the line.
"But for my feeling, that was only for 24 hours and after that we were fully focused on this game [against Forest] and even if we did speak about the Roma game, we were all full of belief that we can turn it around.
"We have nothing to lose, we have all the belief, so we’ll give it our best shot and win 5-0!”
