Bayer Leverkusen continue to lead the Bundesliga title race by four points over Bayern Munich, after both teams were victorious last weekend in the first round of matches of the new year.
Leverkusen have now rung off three straight victories after earning back-to-back draws, and a fourth consecutive win would see them go up by seven points on Saturday as Bayern are not in action until the following day.
Standing in Leverkusen's way are RB Leipzig, who are in fourth place but are winless in two matches. The Red Bulls welcome the league leaders to Leipzig having lost just once at home since April 2023.
