The 2020-21 UEFA Champions League rolls on with Matchday 2 this week.
Defending champion Bayern Munich will be without teen sensation Alphonso Davies after the Canadian suffered an ankle injury over the weekend that will keep him out for up to eight weeks; however, the German giant will still be heavily favoured in its visit to Lokomotiv Moscow on Tuesday.
Later that same day, a Virgil van Dijk-less Liverpool faces Midtjylland in the first-ever meeting between the two sides. Canadian defender Manjrekar James will hope to make his Champions League debut at Anfield — he was on the bench for Midtjylland's 4-0 loss to Atalanta on Matchday 1.
The marquee match of the round comes Wednesday as Juventus hosts Barcelona in a Group G showdown. Barca has struggled mightily in La Liga so far this season, but tops the group after easily downing Ferencvaros last week.
