The penultimate matchday of the 2020-21 UEFA Champions League group stage is upon us and there are still a few races to be decided.
While the likes of Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Chelsea, Barcelona and Juventus have already booked their places in the round of 16, other European giants are still attempting to join them. Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and other traditional powers have yet to earn their berth into the knockout stages, heightening the importance of Matchdays 5 and 6 as only six more points are on offer between the two remaining games.
Many (if not most) of the teams involved in the Champions League are already feeling the effects of fixture congestion as COVID-19 forced a condensed group stage amid regular domestic league fixtures, and it'll only get worse as managers are forced to choose between their teams' respective competitions.
The match of the round is United vs. PSG (Dec. 2, 3 p.m. ET), which will likely decide the winner of Group H. As noted, neither side is assured of a berth in the knockouts, but United holds a three-point lead atop the group and a win or draw all but wraps up the top spot for the Red Devils.
