In a matter of weeks, Arsenal's gone from sitting comfortably in fourth place in the Premier League to four losses in five games and drop to sixth in the standings.
It's been a dramatic fall from grace for the North London side, who head into a Wednesday clash at Chelsea desperate to reverse the worrying trend.
"[It's been] very difficult, because at this club it’s only about winning, and they were three different games, but with the same outcome," Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said of his club's current three-game losing streak.
"We are extremely unsatisfied with that, we know that, we’re hurting, but at the same time we know how we lost and what we merited from those games are not reflected in the amount of points that we taken.
"We have to understand why we lost those games as well, but there is nothing to look back on. Everything is still to play for, our ambition is still intact, our desire is still intact.
"We know the challenge ahead and we’re going to go for it."
The Gunners face a Chelsea side with virtually nothing at stake in the league. The Blues are entrenched in third place and, barring a complete collapse over their remaining eight games, will finish the season in that spot.
Despite Chelsea's relatively comfortable run-in, Arteta stressed that his players should not expect last's year's Champions League winners to take things lightly.
"We have to be at our best against the best team in Europe that showed last year what they can do with everything that they have and with the ability that we have as well," he said.
"We're going to go there as always to win the match and that is going to be our intention [Wednesday] when we're at Stamford Bridge."
