Two teams that expect to challenge for European football at the end of the campaign meet in an early season Premier League encounter as Newcastle United host Liverpool on Sunday.
Newcastle have won and lost a game through the first two weeks of the season, following their dominant 5-1 victory over Aston Villa on the opening weekend with a 1-0 loss at Manchester City last Saturday.
The Magpies now look to get back to winning ways as they return to St. James' Park, with Liverpool providing the opposition.
Jurgen Klopp's men drew 1-1 with Chelsea and defeated Bournemouth 3-1, giving them an opportunity to go undefeated through the first three matches of the young campaign.
Reds manager Klopp is not expecting an easy game.
"Newcastle are an incredibly strong team, qualified for the Champions League, fully deserved," Klopp said.
"The speed they have is really good. Newcastle since last year at least, they don’t concede a lot but score. So that’s a proper game, and we tried since Sunday night to make sure that we are ready for it. That’s it."
