Copa America 2024 opens Thursday, June 20, with the Group A opener between defending champions Argentina and tournament rookies Canada.
Those teams are joined in the group by Chile and Peru, who are both undergoing a transitional period in their respective programs.
Argentina, ranked first in the world by FIFA, are expected to top the group, leaving the other three sides to fight over second place. Peru (32nd) boast the next highest ranking, but Chile (42nd) and Canada (49th) are close enough that either side could claim the runners-up spot without much of a surprise.
Here's the definitive guide to Group A at the tournament.
