David Beckham and Steven Gerrard had their names added to the inaugural class of the Premier League Hall of Fame on Thursday, joining six other legends as inductees.

The pair both served as captain of the England national team at different points of their respective careers, with nearly 800 Premier League appearances between them.

Beckham, 46, is a global icon who has played for Real Madrid, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, and the LA Galaxy, but he rose to prominence as part of the famed "Class of '92" at Manchester United. He registered 80 assists in 265 league appearances for the Red Devils, placing him in the top 10 in Premier League history. Beckham also notched 62 goals for United in league play.

He won six Premier League titles under Alex Ferguson and two FA Cups, and a Champions League title in 1998-99.

Beckham's former England teammate Gerrard made over 500 appearances in the Premier League with Liverpool over 17 seasons. In that time, he scored 120 goals with 92 assists from his position in midfield, making him one of the most productive midfielders in league history.

Gerrard also captained Liverpool for 12 years, leading the club to a Champions League title, two FA Cups, and four EFL League Cups.

Beckham and Gerrard are the final two inductees to this year's Hall of Fame class, with fellow legends Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard, and Dennis Bergkamp having already been inducted.
