Arsenal legend David Seaman believes the club needs to strengthen its squad if it is to finally topple Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.
The Gunners were pipped to the post by Pep Guardiola's men once again this weekend, as City sealed their fourth title in a row, leaving the North London club to finish runners-up for the second consecutive season.
Speaking on his podcast Seaman Says, proudly sponsored by Parimatch, the former goalie doesn't think Mikel Arteta needs much more to turn his team into title winners, but possible a greater depth to their squad.
“There's no specific area where I think it went wrong for Arsenal this season,” said Seaman.
“To only lose five games is a pretty decent season. Man City only lost three and they've shown how important it is having a squad that are all happy and are all so good.
“Even when they get injuries they find a way. Look at Kevin De Bruyne and how long he was out for, look at how long Erling Haaland was out for.
"That's two of their best players out for quite a chunk of the season, yet they’ve still got players that come in and make an impact. They don’t just fill in the spaces, they actually make an impact on the games.
“That's what Arsenal need to look at, the strength of depth in the squad.”
