The midfielder is hoping to work with Mauricio Pochettino again.

After another non-appearance for Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend, Dele Alli is reportedly eager to leave the Premier League side during the current transfer window.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Alli is hoping the join Paris Saint-Germain on loan — and the feeling is mutual. PSG is managed by Mauricio Pochettino, who was the Tottenham bench boss from 2014 until his departure in November 2019.

Under Pochettino, Alli had the most success of his career thus far, scoring ten goals in his first Premier League season (2015-16) and following that up with 18 goals in the subsequent campaign. While his production dropped through the remainder of Pochettino's time in north London, Alli was still a fixture for the Spurs throughout.

His participation remained high during Jose Mourinho's first half-season in charge at Tottenham, but Alli has struggled to get onto the field during the current campaign. The 24-year-old has made just four Premier League appearances (75 minutes) so far in 2020-21, prompting his urge to find playing time elsewhere.

Pochettino is very interested in a Paris reunion with Alli, according to Romano, but Tottenham remains unconvinced in the potential move.

Tottenham is fifth in the Premier League and embroiled in a bitter title chase. Despite Alli's known quality, Mourinho has elected to use the midfielder in the Europa League mostly.
