Manchester United had two separate leads in their match against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, and they couldn't hold on to either of them.

The teams each walked away from Old Trafford with a point after their 2-2 draw, which drew some criciticism from United manager Erik ten Hag.

"I am quite disappointed, when you go ahead twice and then concede two soft goals it is a bit frustrating, but you have to take it as it is," Ten Hag told BBC Match of the Day.

The result means the Red Devils have won just once in their last five league matches, a rate that won't help the seventh-place side challenge for a Champions League spot.

But while the score line was a disappointing one for Ten Hag, he had no complaints about the effort his players put in.

"The attitude from the team was great, the spirit was great," he said. "We fought and gave everything.

"The fans were behind us and I think it was a great game for everyone to see, not just Manchester United fans, because there was a great tempo to the game."
