Dwight Yorke has spoken out on his former club.

Dwight Yorke believes Harry Maguire has no choice but to leave Manchester United.

The England defender was stripped of the club captaincy earlier this summer by Erik ten Hag and he’s recently been the centre of transfer speculation with West Ham interested, but even though that move appears to be off, Yorke still thinks Maguire should move on.

Yorke, a Manchester United legend thanks to his efforts in securing the club the treble in 1999, is a keen observer on the happenings at his former club.

With the Maguire situation still unresolved, Yorke has even gone as far to say that the world’s most expensive defender has been ‘humiliated’ by his manager.

“I don't think Harry Maguire will be an option for squad depth now, not when he's been humiliated by the manager who spoke publicly about fighting for his place,” said Yorke when speaking to OLBG

“It's about being the best in your position at the club, that's what he needs to aim for, his confidence will be low after his captaincy was taken away.

“Imagine seeing Luke Shaw playing in your position and you're still on the bench, imagine what that would do to your confidence. I think him leaving Man United is a no-brainer.”
