The road to the Championship goes through Wembley Stadium for four clubs this season.
As the four sides who finished immediately behind the top two in the 2020-21 EFL League One campaign, Blackpool, Lincoln City, Oxford United and Sunderland will battle it out for the final spot in next season's Championship. The semifinals are two-legged, total-goal aggregate fixtures hosted in the participating teams' home grounds, with the two victors advancing to the one-off final at Wembley at the end of the month.
A promotion to the Championship would mean increased attention, higher competition, and — of course — more money for the team that claims the spot on offer.
