Aston Villa are back into fourth place after a massive 2-0 victory at Arsenal on Sunday.

Villa's lone two shots on target were both put into the back of the net, and both came in the match's final moments as Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins struck in the 84th and 87th minutes, respectively.

Watkins, in particular, has been a driving force behind Villa's quest for a Champions League berth, with Sunday's goal his 19th in the league so far this season. The 28-year-old trails only Erling Haaland in the league's Golden Boot race, and Villa teammate Emiliano Martinez believes Watkins should be receiving more attention for his exploits during the current campaign.

"I think Ollie should win player of the season," Martinez told Sky Sports. "When you play for a 'big six' side, you get more credit but Ollie has scored 19 goals with the chances he's got. He should be a contender."

However, while the advocacy from a World Cup-winning goalkeeper is appreciated by Watkins, the forward prefers to focus on on-pitch matters.

"It's nice that he's saying that, I'm just trying to let my football do the talking," Watkins told Sky Sports.

"I felt like I played well today, I grew into the game second half. Even if I'd come off without a goal, I'd have been happy with my performance but the little dink [over Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya] was nice."
