One of the most memorable FA Cup matches in recent memory took place Sunday at Old Trafford, where Manchester United defeated Liverpool 4-3 in the quarter-final round.

The Red Devils took an early lead only to watch as the visitors scored twice toward the end of the first half to claim a one-goal advantage that would last all the way to Antony's 87th-minute equaliser.

Extra time was then required, with Liverpool going ahead in the 105th minute. United roared back through Marcus Rashford, who levelled the match in the 112th-minute to set up the dramatic game-winner from Amad Diallo in stoppage time.

"When it's Manchester United against Liverpool, it's one of the world's best football matches," United manager Erik ten Hag told BBC Match of the Day.

"It is historical. I thought first 35 minutes were the best I have seen from my team this season. We dropped off the level after that. You could see Liverpool were a very good team. We believed in our style and took our chances."

Aside from taking risks, Ten Hag credited his players' mindset in fighting back from two deficits in the same match.

"The team showed resilience and determination to win this game," he said. "We've had so many set backs [this season]. We are very strong mentally. We energised the fans, they got behind us and we won."
