The Europa League group stage returns to action after a brief hiatus, with Matchday 4 officially kicking off the second half of the round robin portion of the tournament.
Only four teams remain perfect heading into Matchday 4, as Arsenal, Leicester, Villarreal and Hoffenheim all top their respective groups with three wins apiece. They'll each be able to virtually assure themselves a berth in the knockout round with a win on Thursday.
Meanwhile, an intense battle for top spot has emerged in Group H as two of the most in-form teams in Europe are fighting it out for group supremacy. Lille currently sits in first place, a single point above A.C. Milan ahead of their meeting at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy. The teams are both excelling in their respective domestic leagues and Thursday's match could determine who claims the No. 1 seed from the group.
Lille cruised to a 3-0 victory over Milan when the clubs met on Matchday 3 at the San Siro, so the Italians will have ample motivation for some payback this time around.
Elsewhere, a three-way logjam has formed at the top of Groups F and J, which could lead to some nervy-but-exciting soccer throughout the back half of the group stage.
