The Toffees picked up a point with a late goal at Goodison Park.

Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite scored an injury time goal as the Toffees earned a late point against Tottenham on Saturday afternoon.

Two first-half goals from Richarlison had given Spurs a 2-1 lead at Goodison Park, with Jack Harrison keeping Everton in touch.

And in the 94th minute, Branthwaite was picked up at the back post to turn the ball home and salvage a point for the Toffees.

Speaking to BBC Sport after the match, Branthwaite praised his side's mentality, and said they will go into next week's tough game with a positive attitude.

"It's a massive result for us," Branthwaite said."Going down early in the game, we showed real team mentality to get back into it.

"We are fighting right until the end in matches and giving ourselves a chance to get something from games.

"A lot of our goals have come from set pieces and it's something we work on a lot. We have people in every position to score, it fell to me at the back post and I just put it in.

"I think it gives us a positive outlook going into a big game next weekend against Manchester City. We go into every game thinking we can get a result."

The draw leaves Everton in the Premier League's relegation zone, but now just one point behind Nottingham Forest ahead of next week's trip to the Etihad Stadium.
