Arsenal's recent disappointing run of form continued on Sunday, as they were knocked out of the FA Cup with a Third Round loss to Liverpool at The Emirates.
Mikel Arteta's men hit 48 shots in the 2-0 defeat but failed to find the back of the net for the second successive home game. The performance was bemoaned by fans and once again saw calls for the club to add to their front line in the January transfer window.
Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah have both led the line for the North London side this season, but there is a growing feeling that the club lack an out-and-out number nine and it could prevent them from sustaining a major title challenge in 2024.
With the winter window in full flow, we look at five possible striker options the Gunners could sign this month.

The England striker is on the verge of returning from his eight-month ban for betting charges and has been linked with a move away from Brentford - despite not playing for the club since May. Only Harry Kane and Erling Haaland out-scored the 27-year-old last season and he has netted 32 Premier League goals since being promoted with the Bees in 2021.
Brentford would be reluctant to sell their star man, especially given their slip down the league table, however, with his contract expiring in 2025 they could look to cash-in on him now if they were to receive a bid of £80 million plus.

While all the attention in Germany has been on Harry Kane's goal-scoring exploits, Stuttgard's Guriassy has also been banging in goals for fun in the Bundesliga. The Guniea international has already notched 19 goals in all competitions this season, which has alerted some of Europe's big guns.
His signing would be seen as a bit of a gamble for Arsenal, as the striker hasn't always been as prolific in his career, but with a reported release clause of just £15 million, it could prove to be a shrewd addition to their misfiring attack.

Vlahovic is a player who has been constantly linked with a move to the Premier League, and one who very did join the Gunners two years ago before the Serbian opted to stay in Serie A with Juventus. This season he has scored seven times for the Old Lady, and would give the Gunners a physical presence in their front line they've not had since Olivier Giroud left the club.
The one sticking point could be the fee, with the Italian side demanding a fee of around £70 million. Which for a player who has struggled to score goals consistently, may deter the Gunners and see them look at other options.

Another option in the Bundesliga could be Bayer Leverkusen's Nigerian ace. The 23-year-old moved to Germany from Union Saint-Gilloise in the summer and has already scored 16 goals for Xabi Alonso's men, who currently lead the Bundesliga table at the winter break.
His performances have already seen his name added to a number of watchlists across Europe, and would be a more affordable option than his international strike partner Victor Osimhen.

The wildcard option comes in the form of this former Liverpool man. Firmino left Anfield last summer after scoring over a hundred goals for the Reds, to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli, but is believed to be already looking for a route back to Europe in the January window.
The Brazilian has only netted three times this season and has struggled to settle at the Saudi club, but his signing would give Arsenal a proven Premier League option on a short-term deal. While he may not be as prolific as some of the other names, his link-up play and ability to play anywhere along the front three would give Mikel Arteta plenty of choices in attack.
