Florent Malouda picks his Premier League top four with shocking omission

Florent Malouda picks his Premier League top four with shocking omissionDAZN

Despite making a promising start to the new Premier League season, Florent Malouda doesn’t believe Arsenal will finish in the top four.

The Gunners have won their first two games against Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace but the former Chelsea winger’s picks for the Champions League places don’t include the London side.

Arsenal are many people’s picks to push Manchester City close and win their first Premier League trophy since 2004.

Mikel Arteta’s side went close last season but their poor form in the final stretch allowed City to overtake them, and  they’ve spent big this summer in the hope that they can go one better.

Despite the outlay, Malouda thinks Arsenal will finish outside the lucrative places.

“I think Chelsea will struggle to get in the top four, but I think they'll still do it,” said Malouda when speaking to Betway

“Manchester City are above all teams in the league, then I would pick Liverpool, Newcastle, and Chelsea after that.

“It's a transition season for them, but I'd pick them over Man Utd. To make it in the top four now is very difficult. City will be champions again.”
