Bacary Sagna enjoyed a solid Premier League career representing Arsenal and Manchester City, but it’s Liverpool who he’s identified as potential champions this season.
Following a ten-year career playing in England, Sagna was renowned for his defensive strength as he provided his former clubs with security in the right back position.
This season, both Arsenal and Manchester City will have to overtake Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp’s men sit top of the pile with the campaign just past the halfway mark.
Liverpool knocked Arsenal out the FA Cup this past weekend and are still competing for four trophies, and that’s led the former France international to heap praise on the Merseyside club.
“Liverpool have all of the ingredients that you need to win the title,” said Sagna when speaking to Lord Ping.
“They look like they can deal with the absences of key players – they beat Arsenal without Mo Salah and Van Dijk – I see them in a much better shape than last season.”
