Former Arsenal defender Mikael Silvestre is eager for the club to sign Napoli star Victor Osimhen during this summer's transfer window.
The Gunners are still fighting for both domestic and European honours, but with the 2023/24 campaign slowly coming to a close, plans need to be made for the forthcoming season.
One of those plans for manager Mikel Arteta could be to bring in a new striker in the summer with the club still not settled as to who out of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus will be the number one striker.
Osimhen has been a name linked with a move to the Premier League for a number of months, and Silvestre believes that if he is available, then Arsenal should look to acquire his services.
"There’s not many top quality strikers available this summer it seems," Silvestre told GGRecon.
"The main one that comes to mind is Victor Osimhen because I can’t see anybody else at the moment of a similar calibre that could realistically be available this summer. However, it’s still not definite that Osimhen will leave Napoli.”
