Can the arch rivals be the saviours?

The Premier League title race is going to the wire, and Arsenal are in need of a favour.

The Gunners are looking to dethrone Manchester City, and win the Premier League for themselves for the first time since 2004.

But to do so, they are going to need some help, and the team perhaps best placed to do so is their north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs host Manchester City on Tuesday evening, and if Pep Guardiola's side are unable to come away with all three points, then Arsenal will take back control of the title race.

Arsenal sit one point ahead of City in the Premier League table, but have played a game more.

Mikel Arteta's side - however - have a better goal difference than City, so if Spurs were to hold their opponents on Tuesday night, Arsenal will be the firm favourites to win the title going into the final game of the season.

One former Arsenal midfielder, Mesut Ozil, has taken to social media to offer Tottenham a promise should they trip up Manchester City.

"If Tottenham don't lose this game I will never make fun of them again... I promise," wrote the former Germany international on X.
