Former Chelsea defender Wayne Bridge believes that Conor Gallagher would fit in well at Atletico Madrid.
Gallagher is returning from Germany after a middling spell with England under Gareth Southgate.
He has a year left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge and with his homegrown status, reports suggest that Chelsea see selling him as a handy way to raise funds and meet sustainability rules.
Tottenham have been consistently linked with the midfielder, but Atletico Madrid are now being mentioned.
Speaking to Betfred , Bridge suggested the move would make sense.
He said: “Yes, definitely. Conor’s a player that works hard and he’s got such a great level of energy that he can just go, go, go.
“He stands out due to his energy and he’s always running around and doing what his manager asks of him. You could see that move working for Atlético Madrid, definitely.”
