Which player would supporters not like to see leave West London?
Jody Morris believes Chelsea fans would not accept any decision to sell Conor Gallagher this summer.

The Blues midfielder has been constantly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, despite being handed the captain's armband by Mauricio Pochettino and playing a key role in the Argentine's team this season.

Talking to William Hill and Footy Accumulators’ podcast, No Tippy Tappy Football, former Chelsea man Morris is surprised to see the club would be willing to sell Gallagher and believes the fans wouldn't be happy to see the academy graduate leave the club.

“It is a surprise to see Chelsea where they are but when you have that number of players underperforming, you’re not going to play as well as you should,” he said.

“At the moment, other than Cole Palmer and Conor Gallagher, there aren’t many that are playing at the level they should.

“Gallagher wasn’t one of the top players coming through at Chelsea in his age group, but that might be what helped pushed him to keep improving. He’s a great lad and sometimes it is little elements of adversity that kick you into gear. Now he and Chelsea are reaping the benefits of that.

“Questions were asked about him being sold in the summer. If you asked the match-going fans, they would be fuming if he was sold. He and all his family are Chelsea fan, he’s a homegrown talent and he cares about the club.”
