Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool future is still uncertain but one former Anfield star thinks the Egyptian could be a big deal in Saudi Arabia.
Salah has won multiple honours at Liverpool, and he could be seeking a fresh start after the departure of Jurgen Klopp.
Arne Slot is Liverpool’s new manager heading into the new season and Salah could be a big part of this new era.
Salah has often been linked with a move to the Saudi league and Jose Enrique, a former Liverpool player, believes Salah could have a bigger impact than Cristiano Ronaldo.
“I know Liverpool fans might not agree with me – they love Salah and want all their top players to stay – but sometimes, you have to know when to let go,” said Enrique when speaking to Grosvenor Sport.
“For instance, I’d renew Virgil van Dijk’s contract without hesitation, but with Salah, there’s the Saudi option, and he could become an even bigger star out there than Cristiano Ronaldo."
