Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim once again left Marcus Rashford at home as United were dumped out of the Carabao Cup by Spurs on Thursday night, as questions continue to be asked about the forward's future at the club.
The England man missed last weekend's Manchester derby win and then admitted that he's ready for a new challenge, leading to speculation that he could leave the Red Devils in the January transfer window.
Despite his admission, former United coach René Meulensteen, does believe Rashford could still have a future at Old Trafford.
"He said it before he made this decision. I don't know whether you picked up on it, but Amorim said it starts with Marcus. That was already the first hint by saying he has to want to be a Man United player and he has to want to be the best version of himself.
"So he's already identified certain aspects he wasn't fully happy about. And then and then this happens.
"So, yes, he has a future, but it is a future on Amorim's terms. And if he doesn't live up to that, then there is no future. Then he has to move on"
United are back in action this weekend as they host Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.
