Former Manchester City defender Richard Dunne is in no doubt who the best player in the Premier League has been this season, naming Phil Foden as the league's best performer.
Foden is enjoying his most fruitful season yet in terms of numbers, having notched 18 goals in all competitions so far this season and contributed 10 assists, making him City's most prolific star.
His displays have put him right in the running for individual honours, and Dunne can't see anyone who's been better than the 23-year-old his campaign.
“This season, Phil Foden has been the best player in the Premier League – he’s been brilliant,” he told InstantCasinos.com.
“When we saw Manchester City lose Kevin De Bruyne and then Erling Haaland for a large part of the season, there was a question as to whether they could continue to keep up their levels of performance.
"Foden has been the one to lead City forward in those moments and his goals and assists have gone up and up to the point where he is now one of the first names on the team sheet.
“What sometimes goes unnoticed is his work rate – he starts everything that City do, he wants to press, he wants to lead and everything about him at the moment suggests that his confidence is really high.
"He is at the top of his game and certainly looks like one of the best players in the Premier League.”
