Group F action resumes.

Brazil can secure their spot in the round of 16 in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup with a win against France on Saturday.

The teams meet in Brisbane with Brazil occupying first place in Group F, after the South Americans easily won their opening match, 4-0, against Panama.

Meanwhile, the French battled to an unexpected 0-0 draw against Jamaica, putting them in the unenviable position of needing a win on Saturday against the Brazilians to ensure that they stay in the top two ahead of the final group stage matchday.

Les Bleues have been excellent all year, winning six of their seven matches (with one draw) in 2023 until they landed on Australian soil. They lost 1-0 to the Aussies in their final tune-up before the WWC, then followed that up with the scoreless draw against the Jamaicans.

If France do not find a way to break their hoodoo Down Under, they could soon be looking at an early exit from the tournament.
