Could this be the year that France reclaim their European crown?

France are looking to return to European glory this summer, as they hope to win a first European Championship since 2000.

Les Bleus are one of the favourites ahead of the start of this summer's competition in Germany.

Didier Deschamps' side have been drawn into Group D of the tournament alongside the Netherlands, Poland and Austria.

It is not the easiest of draws for France, but if they do come out on top in Group D, who would they face in the knockout rounds?

DAZN takes a look at Les Bleus' path to Euro 2024 glory.

Round of 16

If France can safely navigate their way through the group stage and top Group D, they will face the runners up from Group F in the Round of 16.

Group F consists of Portugal, Czech Republic, Georgia and Turkey - with Portugal the strong favourites to top the group.

That leaves the other three nations as possible opponents in the Round of 16, should France top their group.

If instead France finish Group D in second place, they will take on the runners up in Group E, which is likely to be one of Slovakia, Ukraine and Romania.

In the unlikely event that France qualifies for the knockout stages as one of the best third-place teams, their Round of 16 opponents could include Spain, Belgium or England.

Quarter-Finals

With so many games to be played before the quarter-finals, predicting who will face who at that stage of the competition is difficult.

However, if all goes according to form, and France win their group and Round of 16 match, then the most likely opponent in the quarter-finals would be Belgium.

If they slip up at any point along the way, they could instead be faced with a quarter-final against Portugal, Germany or another match against the Netherlands.
