The duo are the fifth and sixth to be inducted so far.

The inaugural class of the Premier League Hall of Fame grew by two members as Frank Lampard, and Dennis Bergkamp had their names added to the list of inductees on Wednesday.

Lampard and Bergkamp join Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer, Eric Cantona, and Roy Keane in the 2021 class.

With 609 Premier League appearances, Lampard was a mainstay in England's top flight for nearly 20 years. The London native debuted with West Ham and played a season with Manchester City, but he's best known for his time as a Chelsea player. Lampard became a legend at Stamford Bridge, with 211 goals in all competitions for the Blues to go along with three Premier League titles, four FA Cup wins, a pair of League Cups, one Champions League title, and a Europa League crown.

Lampard was also the Premier League's Player of the Season for 2004-05.

The now 42-year-old took over as Chelsea manager on July 4, 2019, and was dismissed from the post on January 25, 2021.

Bergkamp arrived at Arsenal in 1995 after starting his career with hometown club Ajax and a short stay at Inter Milan in Serie A. The Dutchman had a massive impact with the Gunners over ten seasons, scoring 87 goals in 315 Premier League appearances. The Amsterdam native was a member of three Premier League title-winning Arsenal sides, including the famed "Invincibles" that went undefeated throughout the 2003-04 season.

He also won the FA Cup four times with the North London club.

Lampard and Bergkamp are inductees Nos. 5 and 6 for the 2021 Premier League Hall of Fame class. Two more names will be added to the class later this week to be selected from the remaining players in a 23-man shortlist. All players on the shortlist retired from playing before August 1, 2020.
