Reports indicate that Jim Ratcliffe is closing in on purchasing a minority stake in Manchester United, with the British billionaire potentially taking over the club's football operations as well.
As United continue to struggle in both the Premier League and Champions League, a fresh approach could be welcomed by fans of the storied club.
However, former United defender Gary Neville noted that the uncertainty of the potential ownership shakeup could be affecting those currently running the club, which in turn could lead to more turmoil as the Red Devils fight to stay in the top half of the league.
"Imagine what all those people in that football department think," Neville said on Sky Sports after Sunday's Manchester derby. "They're all, now at this moment in time, unsure.
"We can sit here and say, 'get on with it', but take it into your own life if you're unsure at work, people are undermining you from above."
Neville continued by jokingly making an otherworldly suggestion of who could help the beleagured side, throwing out the name of the actor who played fictional wizard Harry Potter for a decade.
"To be fair, we need Daniel Radcliffe, not Jim Ratcliffe," a laughing Neville said.
"I honestly don't know how it can change and I also don't know how it can change even if Jim Ratcliffe comes in."
