Germany and Ukraine begin their final stretch of friendly matches before both teams will compete in Euro 2024.
The Germans are the tournament hosts, which means they did not have to play qualifying games to get into the competition. Instead, they filled their calendar with exhibition matches, and after a 2023 to forget in that department Die Mannschaft has won both of their games so far this year.
Monday's friendly against Ukraine is the first of two this week for the Germans, who will also face Greece on Saturday.
As for the Ukrainians, they pulled off the impressive feat of qualifying for the Euros despite not being able to host any matches. They will play three games between Monday and June 11 in preparation for the summer tournament.
