As the Three Lions skipper prepares to win his milestone cap this week, we take a look back at some of his key contributions over the past decade

Harry Kane will join an elite group of England footballers when he becomes just the 10th man to score a century of caps against Finland on Tuesday.

The Three Lions captain will reach a hundred international appearances for his country when he leads them out for their UEFA Nations League clash at Wembley Stadium.

Kane, who has led England to two major tournament finals during his career, is still hunting for his elusive first piece of silverware at Bayern Munich.

But with cause to celebrate as he reaches a major milestone this week, DAZN looks back at the key matches on the global stage for the striker.

Kane made his England debut as a fresh-faced 21-year-old under Roy Hodgson in this UEFA Euro 2016 qualifier, coming off the bench to replace Wayne Rooney.

Just two minutes after he entered the field, he scored his first senior international goal, nodding home Raheem Sterling's cross at the right post, to cap a 4-0 victory.

With less than two-dozen caps to his name, Kane was handed the armband for the first time by Gareth Southgate in this 2018 World Cup qualifier against their neighbours.

Leigh Griffiths' quickfire double looked to have handed the hosts a famous victory after Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's opener, but the skipper struck in injury time to salvage a draw.

Expectations had been duly tempered after a quiet two years to start the Southgate era - but few could forsee the excitement Kane generated here, on his way to the Golden Boot.

At the 2018 World Cup, the captain scored his first international hat-trick in a rout over Panama, to kick-start England's most successful tournament in a generation.

Colombia 1-1 England (3-4p), Otkritie Arena, July 3, 2018 (#27)

Just one cap later, Kane struck from the penalty spot to put England on course for a first World Cup quarter-final since Germany 2006 before Yerry Mina's injury-time equaliser.

That ultimately led to a penalty shootout, but inspired by their captain's superb effort, the Three Lions claimed a first such victory in the format in tournament history to progress.

England 2-0 Germany, Wembley Stadium, June 29, 2021 (#58)

Three years later at a delayed Euro 2020, England were on co-host duties and earned a home last-16 tie against one of their most iconic foes.

Joachim Low's Germany offered arguably the biggest test to date of the Three Lions under Southgate, but Kane led from the front, nabbing the second goal in a crucial 2-0 win.

Held at deadlock since Simon Kjaer's first-half own goal cancelled out Mikkel Damsgaard's opener, England looked at risk of a second successive major tournament last-four exit.

But cometh the hour, cometh the man. Kane was unable to convert the penalty won by Raheem Sterling, but smashed home on the rebound for a first major final since 1966.

Perhaps the most bittersweet occasion for Kane when he looks back on his international career will be the Qatar 2022 World Cup quarter-final loss to France.

He matched Wayne Rooney's Three Lions goalscorer record of 53 when he scored a first penalty to tie the game, but then missed a second to square matters as England crashed out.

Italy 1-2 England, Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, March 23, 2023 (#81)

After the disappointment of Qatar, serious questions had been asked over the future of England under Southgate and Kane, including whether it was time to go their own ways.

But the captain repaid his coach's faith with a superb individual performance against Italy in their own back yard, breaking Rooney's record to avenge their UEFA Euro 2020 loss.

England 3-1 Italy, Wembley Stadium, October 17, 2023 (#87)

The Azzurri were in Kane's crosshairs on the return fixture, as part of their UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers, upon their return to Wembley two years on from their showpiece final victory there.

This time, the striker - fresh from his move to Bayern Munich - did not draw a blank, netting two in a fantastic display to secure their place at the following year's tournament.

Kane's most recent goal for his country came in another major tournament semi-final, the third England have played under his captaincy in the space of four tournaments.

Having struggled to impose himself in Germany, it was a routine spot-kick that helped him to his 66th international goal - and the Three Lions to another final.
