Harry Redknapp is tipping the returning Ivan Toney to make an impact as he prepares for his Brentford return against Nottingham Forest this weekend.
The Bees striker hasn't played for the club since his ban for breaking betting regulations, but the striker is now free to play Premier League football again and is set to start for Thomas Frank's side tomorrow night.
Brentford's recent run of form has seen them slump to 16th in the table, but Redknapp believes their returning striker will make all the difference.
Speaking to BetVictor Redknapp said: "All eyes will be on Ivan Toney on his return here. They’ve coped quite well without him, but what a difference he’ll make to this team. It’s been a really difficult spell for Brentford, but I can see them going on a decent run of form now.
"Not only is he going to start, but he’s captaining the side as well; I’m sure he’ll make an impact."
Redknapp also shared his concerns for Brentford's opponent, who were hit with an FA charge earlier this week that could lead to a points deduction later on down the line.
Adding: "Nottingham Forest’s form under Nuno Espirito Santo has been very good and they were excellent in those wins over Manchester United and Newcastle. There’s a lot of good players in this Forest side, Morgan Gibbs-White could start for a lot of clubs in this league. I’m not sure what’s happening with the financial case though, that could derail their season."
