Former Liverpool Jose Enrique has suggested that striker Darwin Nunez would not be in his Liverpool starting eleven.
The Uruguayan centre-forward has found consistency hard to come by, and erratic finishing and lack of goals have blighted his Liverpool career.
This season, Nunez has scored four goals in 11 league appearances but has still missed some big chances in other games.
Speaking to Grosvenor Sport, Jose Enrique provided his analysis on Nunez. Enrique said, "I wouldn’t play Darwin Nunez. Although I really like him, I don’t think he suits Jurgen Klopp’s style of play."
Enrique also questioned Nunez's ability to lead the line and bring others into play, saying, "He is not the type of player who can hold the ball and link play. He needs space."
He continued, "Liverpool don’t play in a way that gives him space, and that is why I still don’t believe that he should be Liverpool’s starting number nine."
