That's the scenario facing Inter Milan and Getafe on Wednesday when the teams square off in the Europa League Round of 16. Due to delays caused by the global pandemic, the fixture has been changed from a normal home-and-away, two-legged affair to a single-elimination knockout match played on neutral soil.
The change in format places far more urgency on both coaches, who now have to plan for 90 minutes rather than 180.
Veltins-Arena in Gelsinkirchen, Germany, plays hosts to the two sides, who have never met in a competitive match. Inter heads into Wednesday's contest flying high, with Antonio Conte's men losing just once in all competitions since Italian soccer restarted in mid-June.
Meanwhile, Getafe was winless throughout July and carries a three-game goal drought into the match.
