Is former Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho set to reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo?DAZN

There is chance current Roma manager Jose Mourinho could be working with Cristiano Ronaldo once more in the near future.

According the Spain's AS, Mourinho has been offered a two-year contract worth €100m to join Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr who recently sent shockwaves through the football world after signing Ronaldo at the start of the year.

Mourinho and Ronaldo spent time working together at Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013 where they won one La Liga title.

With a supposed rift developing between Ronaldo and current Al-Nassr coach Rudi Garcia, it's likely that the Frenchman's time at the club could come to an end in the near future and present a perfect opportunity for Mourinho to sweep in and reunite with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.

However, there is likely to be a few stumbling blocks before this managerial switch could become a reality.

Mourinho has reiterated his desire to stay at Roma, but he has asked to the meet with the club's owners in order to get a better picture of what lies ahead and whether he sees himself as the right man to take the team forward.

If the Portuguese coach does indeed feel that he can continue to take Roma forward, Al-Nassr will have to look elsewhere for a coach who can successfully manage one of world football's biggest stars.
