Chelsea will no doubt play a huge part in the transfer window again this summer as owner Todd Bohely looks to help new boss Enzo Maresca improve his squad ahead of next season.
However, the potential transfer of midfielder Conor Gallagher remains a talking point. Despite his impressive performances for Chelsea last season, the England star's future at Stamford Bridge is uncertain, and there is speculation he could be moved on.
Former Spurs midfielder Jamie O'Hara believes that if Chelsea are willing to let Gallagher leave, then his former club would be the perfect destination.
“I believe Conor Gallagher would be an excellent fit for Tottenham and I can see him making the move this summer,” he told Grovesnor Sport.
“Tottenham should be eager to buy him, but it will depend on whether Daniel Levy is willing to invest in the transfer. I think he’s the perfect signing for Tottenham's needs this summer – he's a talented player with a competitive edge that would benefit the team. I really like what he is about!
“I think part of the reason as to why Mauricio Pochettino has left Chelsea is because Todd Boehly has said that the club are selling Gallagher. I think Tottenham should go all for his signature, he has one year left on his contract and they’d be able to get him for about £50 million.
“There haven't been many transfers between Chelsea and Tottenham in the past, but I don't see that as a problem, Tottenham have taken enough of Chelsea’s managers, so why not take some of their players? This is a transfer both parties clearly want to happen. I believe he will be at Tottenham at the start of next season.”
