Jamie O'Hara has hit out at Chelsea owner Todd Boehly. The former Premier League midfielder laid the blame at the American owner's door for Chelsea's struggles.
The Blues are 10th in the Premier League table. They are 12 points behind the top four, and it looks unlikely they will qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League.
After finishing outside the European positions last season, this season looks like another disappointing campaign. New manager Mauricio Pochettino has yet to find consistent performances from his squad.
Speaking to Grosvenor Sport on the Counter Attack, O'Hara said, "Todd Boehly has made an absolute wreck of it. He obviously doesn’t know footballers well.
"I don’t know what he’s been up to in America, but if you hand someone an eight-year contract at 19 years of age, you’ve basically given them their career."
O'Hara also questioned Chelsea's transfer dealings. Since Boehly bought the club, Chelsea have spent more money than any other Premier League club. However, the money has yet to yield any success.
"This is what I can’t understand with Chelsea – they’ve let go of so many good players, then they go and sign a bunch nobodies and spend fortunes on potential, rather than players who have done it already."
