Former Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant has praised Liverpool's new midfield combination.
Liverpool sold Jordan Henderson and Fabinho in the summer and signed Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch.
While some questioned whether the Reds were wise to radically overhaul one area of the team and spend so much money, the results prove Liverpool right.
Jurgen Klopp's team sits second in the Premier League table and is just one point behind reigning champions Manchester City.
Speaking to King Casino Bonus, Jermaine Pennant analysed the trio and offered his praise. Pennant said, "They've all taken to the Premier League like water to a duck's back."
He continued, "Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, and Ryan Gravenberch have all looked really impressive."
Pennant also praised how quickly the three midfielders have connected, saying, "They look comfortable, and that was the focus. The midfield has gelled."
The former Premier League winger has given his old team a thumbs-up for the first part of the season. Pennant said, "I'd say it's so far, so good, in regards to Liverpool this season."
