Tottenham have sacked their manager Jose Mourinho less than a week before their Carabao Cup final with Manchester City.
The 58-year-old Portuguese took over from Mauricio Pochettino in November 2019, but has been relieved from his role after a bright start to the season turned into one where the club are almost certain to miss out on Champions League football.
They were embarrassingly knocked out of the Europa League by Dinamo Zagreb last month despite taking a 2-0 lead into the second leg, and in their most recent league match could only manage a draw with Everton.
That result left them five points short of the Champions League places with only six games of their season left to play after their trip to Wembley.
It is being reported that Spurs coaches Ryan Mason - a former Spurs midfielder - and Chris Powell will take over until the end of the season, when the club will look to appoint a manager on a permanent basis.
