Count Sergio Aguero among Jude Bellingham's growing number of admirers.
Bellingham has gone from strength to strength so far in his career, starring as a youth player at Birmingham City before continuing his development as one of the game's top youth players at Borussia Dortmund.
The 20-year-old is now at Real Madrid, where he has scored 11 goals in 12 appearances in all competitions after joining the side over the summer. It's been a dream start at one of the world's biggest clubs for Bellingham, whose outstanding play has drawn praise from some of the game's biggest names.
Aguero is among those lauding Bellingham's transition to the La Liga giants, with the longtime former Manchester City and Argentina striker calling the England midfielder "downright impressive."
"Even as a young player, the pressure of playing for such an enormous team didn't affect him," Aguero told Stake.
"That's praiseworthy.
"You can even see him do great things for the national squad.
"If he maintains this level consistently, he may be named among the best for sure."
A legend for the Sky Blues, Aguero feels his old side could have used Bellingham's services.
"Great teams will always vye for great players," he said.
"City has managed to get the upper hand in several important occasions, like [Erling] Haaland.
"Sometimes, it doesn't go this way, that's the way of the trade market."
