Juventus and Sporting CP meet on Thursday in just their third competitive match against one another. The game, to be played at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, is the first leg of the teams' 2022-23 UEFA Europa League quarter-final tie.

The home side are, of course, far off the pace in Serie A due to having 15 points docked for capital gains violations, but even without the punishment they would still trail league leaders Napoli by a big margin. Regardless, the deduction has knocked Juve into seventh place and out of the European places in the league, something they will be desperate to get back into. Whether that affects their Europa League campaign is yet to be seen, but the fact remains that their priorities will be split until they are able to get back into Serie A's top six.

As for Sporting, they currently occupy fourth place in the Portuguese Primeira Liga and are unlikely to affect the title race. However, they come into this match in red-hot form, having won six of their past seven league matches and having knocked Premier League leaders Arsenal out in the Europa League round of 16.

Here's everything you need to know about the match, including broadcast info and kickoff time.
