Kevin De Bruyne scored the opening goal for Manchester City on Tuesday as they claimed a 3-1 victory at FC Copenhagen in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie.
The 10th-minute strike was De Bruyne's ninth goal involvement since he returned to action in January following a hamstring injury that kept him off the field for nearly five months.
It's exactly the kind of production that's become expected of the 32-year-old, who is considered among the best midfielders in the world.
Yet despite showing that his form hasn't slipped despite being sidelined for months, De Bruyne remained humble when asked to assess his own performances.
The Belgian spoke to TNT Sports immediately following City's win on Tuesday, and he gave a muted self-evaluation of his play since returning from injury.
"I'm just trying to play good," he said. "It's been a long five or six months but I'm just happy to be back, helping the team win games and be at my best.
"I feel alright. Obviously I still need a couple more games and minutes. I've not played 90 minutes for almost a year but I'm getting there, I'm feeling good and the level is good enough for the moment - so I'm happy."
