Spain will play for the UEFA Nations League title after defeating Italy 2-1 in Thursday's semi-final.
The Spanish scored early and late to secure the victory, with Yeremy Pino getting onto the scoreboard in the third minute. Pino was the beneficiary of some aggressive pressing by his team, which allowing him to strip the ball off a defender at the top of the Italian penalty area before slotting it past a helpless Gianluigi Donnarumma in goal.
Italy would level the match just eight minutes later with Ciro Immobile converting a penalty kick, and suddenly the prospects of a high-scoring match seemed very good.
However, neither side would find the net again until the dying stages of the game as substitute Joselu scored in the 88th minute to give his team the victory. The stirker appeared to be offside in real time but replays showed that he was onside when Rodri's shot from distance, which deflected off an Italian defender to a wide-open Joselu, was taken.
Spain move on to face Croatia in the final on Sunday night, while Italy and the Netherlands will play in the third-place game earlier that day.
