    Here's everything you need to know about Sunday's broadcast between the Reds and Gunners.

    It's a Community Shield rematch and a Carabao Cup preview.

    Liverpool and Arsenal met two weeks prior to the start of the 2020-21 season, as reigning Premier League champion and FA Cup champion, respectively. The Gunners prevailed in that match after a 1-1 draw in regulation required a penalty shootout to determine a winner.

    The North London side has gone on to win every match since, claiming a pair of Premier League victories as well as a 2-0 third-round Carabao Cup win over Leicester City. It's been a charmed existence for Arsenal so far in the campaign, as the team seems to finally have an identity and some direction under manager Mikel Arteta.

    As well as the Gunners have been doing, it's fair to say that they've hardly been tested in the early-going. While their Carabao Cup win was a impressive performance against Leicester, their two league victories have come over newly promoted Fulham and struggling West Ham. Needless to say, Arteta's men have yet to be face a real challenge.

    Enter Liverpool, which has followed up a once-in-a-generation campaign with its own perfect start to the season. Like Arsenal, the Reds also won their midweek Carabao Cup fixture handily, albeit against far easier competition. 

    Liverpool's 7-2 Carabao Cup victory over Lincoln City on Thursday sets up a fourth-round match against Arsenal on Oct. 1, just three days after the teams clash in league play.
