Fresh off both teams progressing into the FA Cup Fourth Round, Liverpool and Fulham meet in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on Wednesday.
Jurgen Klopp's team are fighting on all four fronts, having dispatched Arsenal on Sunday in the FA Cup Third Round as well as still being involved in the Europa League and topping the Premier League by two points.
They remain without Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo who are both away with their international teams, while the Reds will also be missing Dominik Szoboszlai. Andy Robertson, Kostas Tsimikas, Stefan Bajcetic, Thiago, Joel Matip and Ben Doak. Defender Virgil van Dijk could return however after illness ruled him out of the trip to the Emirates Stadium.
Fulham are playing in the League Cup semi-finals for the first time and come into it having beaten Rotherham on Friday night. They'll be missing Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey and Fode Ballo-Toure, who have gone to AFCON, while the game will be too soon for injured duo Adama Traore and Tim Ream.
Fulham manager Marco Silva knows the clash will be a big challenge but is encouraged by the way his team played against Liverpool in their 4-3 defeat last month: "In December we have a great game against them, we didn't get the result we probably deserved."
